A British family residing in Thailand is seeking a qualified governess to assist in the care and education of their 8 year old daughter.
As a Governess your main focus will be on the child’s education – tutoring and improving both Maths and English. In addition you should be able to create interesting and educational classes, activities and games to engage the child. You will work closely with the parents on creating boundaries, meeting developmental milestones and assisting in raising the child. The child attends school and you will be required to attend school meetings, running errands for the family and keeping the child’s area clean and tidy. Some caring duties are involved – including dressing, mealtimes, and bedtimes.
During school holidays you will be expected to travel with the family internationally and care for the child.
The ideal candidate will be a qualified British teacher (PGCE or equivalent), confident in providing private tuition with previous experience of working in private households. You should be kind, caring, creative, energetic, enthusiastic, patient and professional.
The working schedule is 5 days on 2 day off. The working hours will be approximately 8 – 10 hours per day.
This is a live in position, with a separate bedroom provided.
Package:
-Salary £600+ per week (negotiable to the right candidate)
