What type of volunteer work is available?
It is an English language immersion programme promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Education for 16-20 year-old Spanish students.
Responsibilities of the volunteers:
1. Take part in all the activities planned to make the participants speak in English; like games, outdoor activities, plays, excursions, meals, etc.
2. Encourage Spanish students to communicate in English at all times.
3. Help them with their communication.
4. Follow the programme plan and all instructions from the staff
The immersion programme will take place in three different locations: Zaragoza, León and Alcoy (Alicante) from Sunday 28th June to Saturday 25th July 2015.
We are looking for young enthusiastic volunteers (aged 20 to 25), with clear social skills, eager to learn about Spanish culture, attracted by the prospect of living in constant contact with different groups of young Spanish students (aged 16 to 20) as well as other English speaking peers, and willing to help them to improve their English communication skills.
Requirements:
Native English speakers from English-speaking countries, preferably university or college students, aged 20+, enthusiastic, responsible, communicative and willing to take part in outdoor activities and liaise with young people.
Must be able to provide references.
Must be able to arrive for the welcome and training programme and stay until the end of the programme
Volunteers will get free accommodation at the locations. They will stay at University accommodations with the participants and coordinators.
We offer:

• Full- board with 4 meals a day: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.
• Airfare expenses (total cost covered from UK and Ireland; 500€ paid from Canada and U.S.A)
• Health insurance.
• One day off per week: Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
• The opportunity to be in close contact with Spanish people, Spanish culture, make new friends and visit some of Spain’s beautiful historic cities.
