Irise Uganda Limited is a social enterprise based in Jinja, Uganda. It was founded in response to the concerns of women and girls about the impact lack of an affordable sanitary product was having on their lives. Market research revealed that 50% of girls in East Africa are using inadequate sanitary materials, including dirty rags and bits of mattress, some or all of the time and report missing school during menstruation. Irise Uganda Ltd produces an affordable reusable sanitary pad (Easy Pad) and focuses on making this product available in the local community and accessible to all women and girls.
Irise Uganda Ltd is recruiting a Business and Sales Manager to help implement a sales strategy based around empowering women to become local entrepreneurs in their own communities. The Manager will also work with the production unit to ensure effective management and recordkeeping processes are maintained and developed as the business grows.
