AFRICA / Volunteer 4 Africa
This long-term paid fellowship program pairs young professionals (fellows) with organizations that require new thinking and innovative solutions. High-impact positions in knowledge management and other fields are available in leading health-related NGOs and government organizations in Burundi, Malawi, Rwanda, Uganda, and Zambia. Fellows are placed in organizations in pairs – one international fellow and one local fellow from the placement country – creating a fellowship team that is a central part of the fellowship experience. Applicants can apply for up to 3 fellowship positions that match their interests and skills. The program is open to college graduates who are aged 30 or under. Application deadline: 3 February, 2015.
Fellows receive a huge range of benefits, including: monthly living stipend; accommodation; utilities stipend; health insurance; a professional development grant of US$600; a completion award of US$1500; all training; and a five-day retreat in East Africa to finish the fellowship.
