We are looking for young enthusiastic volunteers (aged 20 to 25), with clear social skills, willing to spend the month of July 2015 in Spain, attracted by the prospect of living in constant contact with different groups of young Spanish students (aged 16 to 20) as well as other English speaking peers, and willing to help them to improve their English communication skills.
The programme: It is an English language immersion programme promoted by the Spanish Ministry of Education for 16-20 year-old Spanish students. There will be 100 Spanish students each week mixing with 80 English-speaking volunteers, 7 professional pedagogical coordinators and 1 programme director
Responsibilities of the volunteers:
1.Take part in all the activities planned to make the participants speak in English
2.Encourage Spanish students to communicate in English at all times.
3. Help them with their communication.
4. Follow the programme plan and all instructions from the staff.
Duration: four weeks, in July 2015. The volunteers will attend a one-day welcome and training programme on the day before the starting date of the immersion programme.
We offer:
•One day welcome and training programme.
•Accommodation
•Full- board with 4 meals a day: Breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack and dinner.
•Airfare expenses (total cost covered from UK and Ireland; 500€ paid from Canada and U.S.A)
•Health insurance.
•One day off per week: Saturday afternoon to Sunday afternoon.
Requirements: Native English speakers from English-speaking countries, preferably university or college students, aged 20+, enthusiastic, responsible, communicative and willing to take part in outdoor activities and liaise with young people.
