Spend Christmas on Frontier’s exotic beach camp, located on the stunning island of Mafia just off the coast of Tanzania. Surrounded by lush mangrove forests, coconut plantations and unique ecosystems which straddle both land and water, you will live and work from a picturesque and simple camp just a short walk from the beach. Based near the village of Utende, camp life will be a basic affair with communal sleeping in a thatched banda, open kitchen and friendly neighbours in the form of the local wildlife.
We are working in this area to help local communities and animals to live in harmony, so that the livelihoods can be improved, while enabling wildlife to continue to use the habitat that remains intact.
