GERMANY SPAIN UK / Motion Placements (CityTravelReview Projects)
http://www.citytravelreview.co.uk/ – Travel writing/research team working project (work abroad) – Available in Berlin (also in Edinburgh and Barcelona) 2014/2015.
Our Travel writing researcher positions have been released for the months March & June – Sept 2015. Each year we take on project members that have a desire to learn a foreign language and work within a fun team working environment creating an online travel guide aimed at young people visiting the capital city of Berlin for the first time. The project members usually undertake German classes during the mornings and during the afternoons are out and about exploring and discovering all the interesting sites and entertainment the city of Berlin has to offer.
Project members are usually undergraduates, post graduates, working young people taking a short sabbatical, or those taking time off or a gap year before or after college/University. Project members come from all different backgrounds, with the following purpose to gain valuable diverse working experience, learn a language from scratch or improve on foreign language skills already acquired.
Project members are selected and usually placed in peer groups that have members of the team with complementary skills.
Many project members wish to gain a fresh real world working experience possibly changing career direction in order to move into creative/history/geography/arts/ culture/language/tourism/media/ communication/PR/journalism/language/ editorial/research/travelwriting/reviewing, design, photography/fashion industries.
We select individuals on our Citytravelreview projects who love learning, have a passion to learn a language, love travel, like working in a fun interactive team and who love a challenge. The online eBook is published each year. We also select outgoing individuals who are able to demonstrate commitment, initiative, teamwork, good organisation and the ability to communicate effectively. Project members attend German language classes on a regular basis usually during the mornings and during the afternoons project members gain and develop hands-on experience working as Travel Researchers/Review Journalists. Project members are thoroughly involved within the creative team, creating a professional tourist guide aimed at young people and students visiting the capitals. Information gained in language learning is incorporated within the guide. Project members design the whole guide from start to finish from layout, photos, graphics/design, interviewing, researching, reporting, proofreading, writing reviews/features for restaurants, bars, cafes, attractions/entertainment, city history, art and culture etc. Project members attend workshops and are aided by an experienced journalist & professional working team. During most afternoons they are out and about on project related visits within the city and surrounding areas. Typical project visits include visiting museums, walking tours, visiting local areas, tourist attractions, historical sites and the highlights of this amazing city.
