TEFL INTERNSHIP IN SPAIN. START DATES THROUGHOUT 2015

Do you fancy living in Spain for 6 months… whilst gaining valuable teaching experience with Hands-On TEFL? Finally a Teaching Placement that leads to a TEFL Qualification!

The way it works:
• Send in your CV
• Attend an Interview via Skype or Phone
• Agree on a Starting Date
• Book your Flights to Madrid, Barcelona or Valencia (depending on offer)
• Attend your Induction week in Spain.
• Complete your Internship with mentoring and on-going training.
• Receive your TEFL Certificate upon completion of the 6 months.

All are candidates must be over 18. No prior teaching experience is required. We accept people with very different sets of skills and experience. If you are drawn to teaching or simply are looking for a temporary change of career, this experience will be fruitful. Timetables are typically from Monday to Friday on a 40-hour week on a “Spanish split shift”.

DO I RECEIVE COMPENSATION DURING MY TRAINING?
• COMPENSATION (or living allowance) is given for travel expenses and food and is therefore based on attendance. It is fixed at a rate of 200GBP pm. Receipts must be provided by the intern.
• FREE Accommodation is provided, during your internship. It will be a single room in a shared flat provided by the Partner School where you will be carrying out the placement.
• FREE Travel Insurance is provided by the Partner School.

WHY IS THE HANDS-ON TEFL INTERNSHIP SO POPULAR?
Our teacher training internship has proven to be very well-liked, as it provides our interns with a vast set of skills and very concrete experience.
• It lasts 6 months
• Gap Year Internship agreements with universities are also possible for longer periods.
• The Hands-On teaching placement takes place in exciting major Spanish cities.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
• The full induction takes place at your placement school in Spain. This gives our interns a general overview of the tasks with all the essential modules being covered by a TEFL Trainer.
• From week 1 of your placement onwards, there are daily feedback sessions with the head teacher, who observes, guides and discusses classroom situations. This guarantees on-going development and provides our interns with much needed support.
• You will teach for 40 hours per week, gaining as much experience as possible, teaching One-to-One classes of English to Spanish adults. Group classes are also available in some cities.

WHAT WILL I ACHIEVE?
• You will learn how to tutor adults One-to-One and in reduced Groups, in General English but also Exam Preparation (PET, FCE, CAE, CPE, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC and BEC).
• You will also learn more about admin and lesson planning.
• You will receive valuable work experience and a TEFL Certificate upon completion.

ARE THERE ANY REQUIREMENTS?
• Prior experience not required. Our in-house training covers everything from general to exam English & one-to-one to teaching groups
• You must be enthusiastic and a team player
• English must be your first language or you must be at a native level
• Having a degree is a plus but not a must. Minimum requirements: A-level or equivalent education
• Minimum age: 18 years old
• EU nationals only as we cannot assist with arranging/sponsoring visas.
