Job Role : Home Care Assistants
Location: East of England (Peterborough, Boston, Spalding, Cambridgeshire, Bedford)
Salary: £6.42 per hour, raising when gained NVQ 2, Mileage Paid
Type: Permanent / Full Time / Part Time / Weekends / Evenings

Home Care Assistant
Reporting into the Care Coordinator day to day and overall to the Branch Manager, responsibilities will include:-
• To share with other staff in meeting the personal care needs of clients in a way that respects the dignity of the individual and promotes independence.
• To help in the care of clients, their physical environment and in the general day to day activities.
• To work in accordance with the CQC Essential Standards and to meet the requirements of the Health and Social Care Act 2008.
• To Place Service Users at the Centre of our services and to deliver Outcome focused services.
• To safeguard all service users and understand how to raise a safeguarding alert and do so without hesitation if they have any concerns.
Required knowledge & experience:-
• Preferably experience of working with the elderly in a Home Care environment, or Residential Setting
• Preferably an understanding of CQC, Health & Safety legislation along with the knowledge of safeguarding of vulnerable adults, Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Act.
• Life experience of understanding care and/or wanting to make a difference to someone’s life
Required skills:-
• Excellent Communication Skills, Professional Presentation, with Excellent Writing Skills
• Commitment and passion to provide high quality care
• Flexible, reliable and able to adapt and work under pressure
• Hardworking, Loyal and Caring
• Ability to drive and access transport would be an distinct advantage due to some customers living in Rural Areas
• Enhance CRB check required.
