Cocktail bar Tender


BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS / Cooper Island Beach Club

We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to run our new exclusive Rum Bar at our island eco-resort in January 2014.

Candidates must have recognized mixology and safe serve certification and a minimum of 5 years experience working in a fast-paced bar. This is a new position within our company and we are seeking someone with a excellent knowledge of cocktails and an exceptionally friendly manner whom will help to grow the business. Responsibilities will include all aspects of the day-to-day bar business from set up to close down, deep cleaning, maintaining bar equipment, drinks menu planning, supervision and training of staff, catering for special events, Ordering and Inventory control, upholding Health, Safety & Hygiene policies, and liaison with FOH management & staff.

As we are located on a virtually uninhabited island, you must have the ability to live in close quarters and thrive on working & socializing within a small team environment. Applicants must be able to speak, read & write business-English and previous experience in the Caribbean or remote locations with limited amenities will be a distinct advantage.

Work-week will include split shifts, evenings, weekends and public holidays. Staff accommodation and all meals will be provided on-island. Salary will vary depending on experience and package includes share of resort service charge, gratuities and year-end bonuses.

Work permit applications require a current, clean medical and clean police clearance certificate.
