The role of a Lions Entertainer is to be a friendly and approachable animator within a variety of hotels in Greece. The day time start normally around 09.00 with a mixture of activities including darts, boules, yoga, zumba, aerobics, tennis, football, cricket, volleyball and many more depending on the needs of the hotel and program in place. Not every animator is expected to carry out all of the activities on arrival but will be placed into a role that best suits their expertise or experience. Training will be given before you arrive in any hotel and also during your position as an animator so you will need to be flexible and be willing to learn new things. An evening will normally start with a children’s disco so the animator is expected to be good with children and willing to let loose and enjoy themselves. After the children’s disco a show is put on for the guests of the hotel which includes dance shows, cabaret show, fire and fakir shows, comedy nights, dance competitions and many more depending on the needs of the hotel and program in place. Again training will be given and a lot of the shows will be carried out by professionals with the animator there to help and support within the show but to also watch and learn so that they can progress and become a more integral part of the team.
