An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Primary Key Stage Two teacher within a brand new international school in Seoul, South Korea. The position is to start in August 2010 and the school is looking for a lively, dynamic primary teacher who would relish the challenge of partaking in something new. There would also be the opportunity of co-ordinating the school’s Gifted and Talented Programme.

The school is a member of FOBISSEA, which is a membership association of British schools of quality in South East Asia and East Asia. It will open on a purpose built site in Banpo, Seocho District with capacity for 500 students. In partnership with its three sister schools in China the school will provide a unique opportunity for students and parents to experience the traditions and outstanding educational standards already established within these schools. The vision of the school is to establish itself as the leading international school in Korea and in achieving this aim will provide the residents of Seoul with the highest levels of educational provision for their children for many years to come.

The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a passion for excellence, and have the creativity and drive to work with the primary team. You will need to be able to work cooperatively and imaginatively using the national curriculum as a framework. Classroom practice needs to be exemplary with considerable experience of observations and appropriate formative assessment tools.
