Gap Medics is a young and dynamic British company that serves a very specific niche market: We provide placements for aspiring medical students aged 16-25 to give them a first-hand insight into the work of hospital doctors in exciting locations around the world. Our dedication to providing well-organised placements and outstanding customer service in our own student guesthouses in every destination has been the foundation of tremendous growth – from our launch in 2010 to 2,000 students travelling in 2013 and on target for 4,000 travelling in 2014. Maintaining consistently high standards of service alongside this growth is a considerable challenge, and the reason we are seeking an exceptional Placement Manager to join our team as we prepare for 2014.
Our Placement Managers are the leaders who create, manage and troubleshoot the Gap Medics programme of hospital placements. They are directly responsible for the operation of hospital placements in a number of different programmes (i.e. the destinations in which we run placements). You will be responsible for ensuring that every student on a Gap Medics placement has the opportunity to gain a genuinely useful and enjoyable experience of clinical healthcare and receives an outstanding level of customer service consistent with our brand image and promises.
