South Africa Wild Dogs Conservation Project

SOUTH AFRICA / GVI

Africa is world-famous for its incredible wildlife, and this volunteer project gives you the unique opportunity to research one of its most fascinating but also most endangered residents: the wild dog.

You will be heading out into the African bush to collect vital data on wild dogs in their natural habitat. Patience is a virtue on this project as the species can be elusive, which makes it all the more rewarding when sightings are made and valuable data can be gathered.

Africa’s wild dogs are now listed as endangered and are under serious threat of extinction and disappearing from our world forever. Their low numbers make them difficult to study, so every single piece of data you assist in collecting is hugely valuable to further understanding the wild dog and contributing to efforts to conserve them.
