Operations Manager (OM) – Living Crafts Centre (LCC)

We are looking for an Operations Manager to start with us on the 1st September. Reporting to the Directors, the role of the Operations Manager is to run a successful tourism site here at the Living Crafts Centre in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. Responsibilities and duties include customer service & training staff, restaurant operations, tourist activities and managing our four bedroom guest house.

Required Skills, Experience and Aptitudes

Essential:
• Background and minimum 5 years experience in retail, tourism and/or restaurant management.
• Fluency in English or French.
• Evidence of substantial achievement in an operational management role including growing an organisation’s team practices and customer service.
• Knowledge of, and experience in team training.
• Integrity and uncompromising standards.
• Highly professional in outlook and approach, tenacious and results focused with a commitment to and passion for quality, and the energy to contribute to the development and growth of OPT.
• An eye for detail, initiative and good motivational skills.

Preferred:
• Familiarity with small business management.
• Knowledge of and/or experience of social enterprise business models.
• A passion for customer service, tourism, food, organising.

We are looking for a someone with a proven track record for getting the job done, people skills are essential, we want to hire someone who can get the Living Crafts Centre the most ‘talked about’ place in town.
