Company Profile
This shelter provides accommodation and support to abused women and children in Johannesburg. They can accommodate up to 120 women (and their children) and provide them in their basic needs, such as shelter, food and clothing. Often these women arereferred by the nearby hospitals or other healthcare facilities. When these women arrive at the shelter they are broken and have very low self esteem.

The mission of this Christian shelter is offering revival and healing to abused women and children, so that they can look forward to a prosperous future.

Besides the care they offer, they also have a children and baby day care centre. They also offer workshops to these women, whereby the gain life essential skills.

Internship
For this shelter we are looking for a student with a social background (SPW, Social Work or similar study.) You will be working five days a week with these women and children whereby you will guide them for 3-6 months and support them emotionally. If necessary, you will be asked to assist at the baby day care centre. Apart from the guidance and assistance there will be sufficient time to carry out your own assignment.
