Community Development Internship in Mexico

MEXICO / GVI

Travel to Central America, and to the bustling and picturesque town of Playa del Carmen in Mexico, where you will spend your days volunteering with children in a centre operated by our project partners, Save The Children.

Your presence will provide a safe and fun environment in which the children can learn and develop, with a focus on empowering the children to know and apply their own rights. The centre itself is run by Save The Children, whose expert staff will ensure that your efforts are channeled in the correct ways for the children’s benefit that also allows you to get the most out of your internship.

On successful completion of your initial training phase, you will proceed to your work placement site. Save The Children operate a number of centres throughout the Yucatan in the likes of Tulum and Cancun so throughout your internship you may be expected to assist where the need is greatest.
