Volunteers required for English Summer Camp (organised by Zentara Women’s Social Solidarity Organisation) in Fethiye, the jewel of Turkey’s southwest coast.
Starting from 17 June to 30 August 2013 working for at least 2 of, or all of those weeks.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age and over, and be prepared to work with children from the ages of 5 to 16.
The object of the Summer Camp is to teach and help improve English to native Turkish speaking children through adventure play, games, sport, dance, art etc. So experience in any of these fields would be an advantage. The children will either be daily students or boarders staying overnight in fully equipped tents.
We can offer you accommodation, all meals on site, 1 day in 7 as leisure time and 100 lira per week pocket money, transfers from and to Dalaman Airport– as well as experiencing the Turkish way of living and working in Fethiye (http://www.fethiye.co.uk), an ancient Lycian city and a modern tourist destination.
We expect you to be prepared to work 10 hours per day, helping the children with their designated tasks as well as preparing them for meals, activities, accompanying them on trips under the supervision of the Camp coordinators. We also expect you to display a reliable professional and enthusiastic attitude and to be able to take direction from the Camp coordinators.
The Camp is next to the sea and accommodation will be in fully equipped tents with all facilities available.
Fethiye town centre is about 8km away and accessible by local buses. Calis Beach is also very close with all normal tourist facilities.
