Who We Are:
Forever Angels is a Baby Home for 60 orphaned, abandoned and HIV positive babies in Mwanza, on the shores on Lake Victoria in Tanzania, Africa.
Who We Are Looking For:
We usually have about 8 volunteers at any time from all over the world, working at the Baby Home. Volunteers come with a variety of skills and backgrounds – from Nurses to Play Therapists to Dentists to Occupational Therapists to Teachers, to people who simply adore babies and children and who have a lot of love to give.
We are currently looking for a Volunteer who is fluent in BSL to come as soon as possible who can commit for one year with two main purposes:
1) To go to the International School every weekday with – to sign for a deaf 5 year old so that she can access a full learning environment.
2) To Volunteer at Forever Angels Baby Home and to help with all of our babies and infants during school holidays / evenings / weekends.
3) To work with the family to teach them BSL
What You Will Receive:
The Volunteer will have to pay for their own flights out to Tanzania – but will be provided with free accommodation (your own room) in the Volunteer House for one year and pocket money.
