The organisations listed below have either got in touch with us to add their details to this or another of our websites, or we otherwise have reason to believe they are actively looking for international volunteers and charge reasonable or no fees to join in, live and work with them:
Belize Audubon Society

An environmental protection organisation, BAS prefer volunteers that have already worked in developing countries, in community, tourism or small business development, teaching, art, conservation or park management. Volunteers should be available for three months. Marine park volunteers should have dive qualifications, adequate diving experience and an interest in marine research. Those interested in volunteering at their terrestrial sites should be open to rustic accommodations, a harsh jungle environment, strenuous labour and be physically fit. A three month minimum commitment is required.
Where: BAS works in protected areas in Belize including the Blue Hole Natural Monument, Cockscomb Basin Wildlife Sanctuary, and Guanacaste National Park.
Accommodation & Costs: No accommodation is provided and volunteers are expected to cover all their personal expenses.
