2 TEFL teachers are sought to teach 20 hours of english classes to beginner, intermediate and TOEFL classes. The students are generally University graduates, members of the business community or those who want to study for a Masters degree. Students are enthusiastic and welcoming.
The University of Dohuk is currently one of the best universities in Iraq. It is located in the Kurdistan Region which welcomed the change of political system to democracy and has not seen the violence that some southern parts of Iraq has seen. The campus where the teachers will teach currently has an American and two UK teachers. The campus is newly built and is state of the art. In addition to good working conditions, teachers are offered free airfare, free accommodation and transport to and from the campus.
Salary is $1200 per month and much of this can be saved due to the above benefits. The benefits are dependent on a 12 month contract although a shorter period may be separately negotiated.
The Kurdistan Region is investing heavily in the teaching of the English language and English is the third language after Kurdish and Arabic.
Suitable candidates are likely to be self sufficient, flexible in their approach and experienced travellers. Preference will be given to candidates who can show proven teaching ability, training in TEFL and enthusiasm for imparting the English language. SKIP is a charity working with children and their families in the impoverished district of El Porvenir, Trujillo, Peru. We are looking for a coordinator for the Primary Education Programme that we are running. These lessons will be additional to those the children have in school. The standard of education here is poor (ranked 125th out of 127 developing countries). We want to be able to offer a completely different teaching experience for the children.
The Coordinator will have responsiblity for working with a team of 4 other teachers (only some will be qualified teachers) to create the curriculum and then implement it. The coordinator will not have direct teaching responsibilities, unless a teacher is absent, but will be responsible for training the teachers. We will have at least one Peruvian teacher working on the programme.
We need someone who is an innovative thinker and able to arrange this curriculum on a limited budget.
We are able to provide accommodation and a small living allowance of 500 soles per month ($167).

A number of vacancies of English as a foreign language teachers exist in a number of Chinese universities for February and September 2009

Nanhua, which means South China, is located in the city of Hengyang in Hunan Province. More information about the University and the City may be found on their website: www.usc.edu.cn where there is a limited English version.
The other one is in Beijing www.bucea.edu.cn and we also have some vacancies in the central part of China.
The Universities will provide the return airfare, free accommodation, plus a monthly salary of 3500 - 4500 CNY net (about £350 - £450). They will also pay for one to two holidays within China during the year long contract, which is renewable if required.
