* Family G, London, N 1, Islington, an English Lawyer's Family
with a boy and girl born 92 and 94, 10 minutes bus ride from
Piccadilly, seek new au pair, with good English, non smoker,
for 10-12 months stay No pets. They have employed au pairs
from us for a number of years. To start at the beginning of
September 2004.

* Family C, London N1, Islington. The mother is of American /
British origin, father British, the parents work in the media film
industry. Their son is ten years old. The family lives very near
to central London and has employed au pairs from us for the
past four years. As the son attends a school at some distance
from home and has after school activities at various places,
the family requires a confident driver. To join them at the
beginning of September 2004, they will accept a girl for a 6
months stay or longer.

* Family S. from Chelsea, King's Road, London -An English
family with almost grown up children born in 84 and 87 -
require au pair for light housekeeping and preparation of
evening meal, very nice family who have employed au pairs
from us since 6 years. The mother is a bridge teacher and the
father a businessman. The au pair should be over 20 and
speak excellent English. To start beginning of September, for
6-10 months stay.

* Family M. from Hampstead, London NW3. The mother is a
language teacher, teaching German, the father a banker, and
their children are now already teenagers aged 17 and 13
years. The family has employed au pairs from us since 6
years. The au pair should be able to prepare breakfast and the
evening meal and do the usual household work. There is
plenty of free time during the day to attend a language course
nearby. Very occasional babysitting which could now and then
be on a Saturday night. A very nice family to work for, they
would accept a girl for a 6 months stay. She does not have to
be a driver. Free from beginning of September 2004.

* Family B from Kentish Town, London NW5 - very near to the
centre, 15-20 minutes by bus or 10 minutes by underground,
near Parliament Hill Fields, large park. A professional English
family with 3 older children, one of whom (10 year old boy) has
to be driven to a special school between Monday-Friday, on a
long run between Kentish Town and Wimbledon., so a really
competent driver over 20 is needed. The oldest girl, born 82 is
disabled and is away at college during term time, but needs
help in the holidays. The third boy is born in 86. This family
had a Hungarian male au pair from us for 1.1.2 years, the male
nanny before that stayed for 10 years. They would consider
again a male au pair, but will also accept a girl, especially if
she has an interest in teaching. The 10 year old child has a
speech impediment and is not physically disabled. Au pair
needed from Beginning of September for one year, minimum
10 months.

* Family T in Hampton - nr. Hampton Court Palace/Thames
This English family has a boy born in 90 and a girl born in 95,
both parents are working, mother as a probation officer and
father as a company director. There are no pets. The family
has employed au pairs from our agency for several years now.
The girls usually attend Richmond College nearby, and it is
quite easy to travel into central London by direct train to
Waterloo Station. They need a new au pair for the beginning of
September for 6 months only.

* Families on the Island of Jersey. Aristocratic family living in
Jersey with 2 young children aged 3 and 1.1/2 years, need a
new au pair from September 04 onwards, preferably for one
year. She must be over 20 and be a competent driver, will
have own car at her disposal. The family had 2 au pairs for
one year each from us so far, they are a lovely family. The girl
can attend college in nearby town but must like living in the
beautiful countryside of Jersey. They will need a new long stay
girl from September again.

* Family D. living in Jersey, with one girl aged 6 in October.
They also have 2 young cats and 2 goldfish. Father is
Managing Director of a Finance Company, Mother a
housewife. They need a good driver. The girl will have her own
large bedroom and en-suite bathroom, be provided with a
mobile phone with a card worth £15 of telephone calls per
month and also have the use of the car with a petrol
allowance, and £65 pocket money per week. She can attend
language classes in the nearby town. The duties comprise
childcare and some light housework, although the family also
employ other cleaning staff. Very generous conditions in
comparison to most au pair posts! The summer girl needs to
be replaced at the end of September 2004 and should offer to
stay for 10-12 months.

* Families in Ireland
Family C. from Dublin. An Irish family with 2 children aged
3.1/2 and 9.1/2 require an au pair girl to help with the children
in the mornings, before school, and after school, plus some
light housework. The mother works on 4 days a week , the au
pair girl will be free all week-end. And evenings after 6 pm. We
have 10 new au pairs in Dublin from September onwards who
will all be introduced to each other. Very well recommended by
another client family. They need a driver and the girl should
arrive at the end of August and stay for the school year, until
July 2005.

> ITALY

Operation Wallacea is a series of biological and social science
expedition projects designed to underpin the achievement of
specific wildlife conservation aims. The expeditions have been
running for the last 8 years in a remote corner of the island of
Sulawesi in Indonesia and from 2003 in Honduras, and from
2005 in Egypt.

In 2004 there will be over 40 main projects that general
volunteers can join and more than 200 dissertation topics
available at 12 main research sites in Sulawesi and Honduras.
The research projects are organised by a 75 strong team of
biologists, environmental scientists, geographers, social
scientists and anthropologists together with expedition
photographers and artists, expert trackers and forest support
teams, diving staff and extensive logistics teams to support the
wide range of projects completed. Over 25 papers are being
published from each years' research and the data are being
used to achieve conservation objectives in Sulawesi and

EarthCorps International is a 6-month free training course in
Seattle, Washington, USA that brings together young
representatives (18-25 years of age) of non-US based
environmental organizations to learn the basic fundamentals of
environmental restoration, community organizing, and hiking
trail construction. EarthCorps training is ideal for any
organization that works with the environment and is involved
with community empowerment, erosion control, reforestation,
ecotourism development, and/or youth outreach.

The EarthCorps program charges no fees for its services and
in fact supplies insurance, individual homestays, gear, and a
monthly stipend for all international participants. The only
expenses incurred on the organizations or the individuals
themselves are the visa processing fees and air fare travel
(partial airfare scholarships may be available) to and from their
respective countries. EarthCorps offers airfare reimbursement
scholarships which cover 30% of participants' transportation
costs up to $500. Participants must speak English and have an
interest in physical work outdoors as well as open-mindedness
to various cultures. EarthCorps provides additional support in
acquiring US visas by providing letters of recommendation on
behalf of EarthCorps program participants.
