Work Description: Volunteers primarily assist the residents with daily
needs by providing physical care and morale support. Activities
include helping out of bed, showering, using the toilet, dressing /
undressing clothing, and serving food. Volunteers also accompany
residents to the supermarket, bank, clinic, hospital, park etc.
Occasionally volunteers may go with residents on shopping trips,
out for coffee, to a movie, to visit their family, or to take a mini-
vacation.

Housing: Male volunteers stay in a large dorm room at the end of one
of the wards. Female volunteers live in a private apartment which is
attached to the main residence. The living room and kitchen in the
apartment are for all the volunteers to enjoy, both male and female.

Food: Lunch and dinner are served daily at the Ma'on. Food is
supplied to the volunteers for them to make their own breakfast.

Important Things to Bring to Israel: 1. Medical insurance. 2. Medical
note indicating good health and no back nor heart problems. 3. At least
one reference from your last employer or school.

Additional Info: Ma'on San Simon will provide volunteers with sheets,

children in foster homes and orphanages and providing them
education. HIV/AIDS education. Re-forestation (environmental

through tree planting. Organic farming, primary health care and other
community development programs. Volunteers could participate in
most of the volunteer programs at all year round. Volunteers mostly
work alongside staff and volunteers from the local community. Special
skills, professional qualifications or previous experience is not
required of volunteers in most of the programs. What is required of
them is motivation, charisma, initiative, drive and the compassion to
assist the underpriviledged overcome their challenges and their
struggle for dignity.

Volunteers working days a week is four (Mondays to Thursdays) and
their working hours a day is four or more, depending on them. We
arrange for the volunteers to stay with good host families. Pipe born
water and electricity are mostly available. Meals, a private room and
bed is provided to each volunteer. Volunteers can participate in most of
the programs from a period of 4 weeks to 52 weeks or more.

VISITOR/CULTURAL EXCHANGE PROGRAM: We arrange for people
to stay with host families for a holiday, cultural exchange, friendship,
relaxation and recreation or to learn the local language, cooking the
local food. The cost including board and lodging is the same as that of
the volunteer program. Participants can also join the three-day weekly
general tour group if they wish.

The cost of participating in the volunteer and/or cultural exchange

Join Remote Conservation Expeditions In The Amazon Jungle. Global
Vision International (GVI) is seeking independent and enthusiastic

environmental education programmes and assist the local community

Pavacachi reserve in eastern Ecuador. Based on a tributary of the

programs in Tanzania and Thailand. The Tanzania summer internship
