Finca Roots is a new project / organic farm run by a small
family in the beautiful foothills of Volcan Turrialba. The farm is
roughly 6 acres with an abundance of fruit trees, vegetables in
progress, a goat and 10 chickens. There is a section of forest
and a river in the boundaries of the farm.

There are no strict rules as to how much / how little volunteers
can work. Some people come to learn about organic farming
and permaculture, others want to work a full day, it's entirely

Leaders & Medics Wanted For Wilderness Youth Expeditions.
BSES Expeditions is a youth development charity that
organises remote wilderness expeditions for young people
(aged 16 23 years old) combining adventurous activities and
scientific research projects. Based at The Royal Geographical
Society, BSES Expeditions is the longest running youth
expedition organisation of its kind.

Leader Team opportunities now exist for experienced
expedition leaders and doctors to take part in our 4-week
summer expeditions (July-August) to Arctic Svalbard, the
Peruvian Andes and Arctic Norway (sea kayaking-specific
expedition) in 2005 and to Greenland, the Peruvian Amazon
and Eastern Himalaya in 2006. Places are also available for
expedition leaders on our longer 3-month gap year expeditions
to Chile (Jan-March 2006) and Arctic Svalbard (Spring /
Summer 2007).
