Peace Boat’s Global English/Espanol Training Program (GET) is now seeking dynamic and highly motivated volunteers to join its 99th Global Voyage!
The 99th Voyage departs Yokohama September 1st and returns to Yokohama December 17, 2018. The voyage will circumnavigate the globe, making stops in twenty-three countries, including China, Morocco, Iceland, Peru, and many more!
Peace Boat is an international non-profit, non-governmental organization striving to build a culture of peace around the world by connecting people across borders and creating opportunities for learning, activism and cooperation. We achieve this through programs in which people from around the world participate in voyages on board the Peace Boat. Peace Boat works in Special Consultative Status with UNESCO, and uses the ship as a platform to promote the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. Peace Boat is also a steering group member of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons (ICAN), winner of the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize.
While this is an unpaid position, Peace Boat covers travel expenses on board our chartered ship, visa fees, and housing in Tokyo during the week-long orientation period.
Qualified candidates will have at least 18 months relevant language teaching experience. Teaching certifications and multiple languages are highly regarded.
