Volunteer at Animal Shelter

CENTRAL AMERICA / Volunteer Latin America

This animal rescue shelter specializes in providing sanctuary for endangered wild cats including pumas and ocelots. The animal shelter also cares for macaws, parrots, monkeys and other rescued wildlife. Some of the activities that volunteers can engage in are: tourist guide; maintenance (i.e. cleaning of footpaths, garden, etc); food preparation and feeding of animals. Innovative ideas which can be implemented to improve the animal shelter are always welcome. The shelter also considers research (internship) proposals.

The shelter has comfortable accommodation (kitchen, living room, terrace, etc) which costs £5 per day. Volunteers have the option of preparing their own food or eating in nearby restaurants.
