Teach in Colombia: Applications Are Open For A June/July Start!


Teach at public schools throughout Colombia from June/July 2017 – applications now open! Founded by Heart for Change and the Colombian National Ministry of Education, the English Teaching Fellowship (ETF) is a social initiative that helps bring qualified English teachers to Colombian public schools and institutions with the intent to build a bilingual Colombia.

– Monthly stipend of 1.5 million Colombian Pesos
– Full orientation and training that includes meals and accommodation
– Teach at local middle and high schools and universities
– Choose a 5 or 11 month contract
– Includes domestic flight from Bogota to placement location
– Receive visa sponsorship
– Free visa provided by the program
– Colombian health insurance
– Assistance with finding housing after orientation

Teaching requirements / Personal qualifications:
– Enthusiastic and adaptable personality
– Native and non-native English speakers welcome to apply (must be level C1 or higher)
– University Degree (any subject)
– No teaching experience needed, however a TEFL certificate is an advantage
International travel insurance required
– Passport should have 6 months validity from contract start date
– No criminal record
– Cultural sensitivity
