Work Study
Language Link Russia
Work-Study is a unique opportunity that combines serious Russian language study with paid part-time work in an international language centre. Participants pay a programme fee in advance for accommodation, Russian tuition and administrational expenses, but they receive wages for teaching their native language, which helps cover living costs during their stay in Russia. For aspiring teachers with no prior qualification, the programme can also be a way to earn an in-house TEFL certificate. The standard programme comprises 12 academic hours per week of General Russian tuition and up to 18 academic hours of teaching, with accommodation in a shared apartment. Language Link’s programmes of Russian studies are approved by Russian Language Undergraduate Studies, Ltd.
We offer two different Work-Study programmes to cater for both qualified E.F.L teachers and those with no teaching experience at all. Programme A is designed for unqualified teachers and includes a 2-week TEFL training course. Details of this training can be found in the attached information pack (please note, the training and internship for Work-Study differ slightly from Language Link’s full-time teaching internship). If you have an EFL teaching qualification or experience, we can consider you for Work-Study Programme B.

RUSSIA
Volunteer
Language Link Russia
The Language Link Volunteer programme is a fantastic opportunity to acquire work experience in an international environment. The wide variety of programme options means that whatever your motivation and interests, there is sure to be something that suits your requirements. The programme is also a great way to experience life in this fascinating country without all the difficulties associated with independent travel in Russia – we will help you arrange your accommodation, visa and registration, and advise and support you as you adapt to life in a different culture. Volunteers spend their time at our language centres in Moscow, St Petersburg or Volgograd, and it is sometimes possible to split the programme between more than one of these cities. The widest range of programme options is available in Moscow, but the other cities also have much to offer, especially for those who want to experience Russian life away from the more westernised metropolis.
The standard programme durations are 6, 12, 24 or 36 weeks, but other lengths from 6 to 36 weeks are also possible. Start dates are flexible. If you decide that you would like to participate in the Volunteer programme (or apply for any of our other opportunities), please go to the application procedure section of the Language Link website, http://www.jobs.languagelink.ru/jobs/application/, read through the guidelines, then fill in and submit an online application form.
Nationalities accepted: We are able to offer visa support to citizens of the UK, the USA, Ireland, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and most Western European countries.
