Volunteering opportunities
ICYE-UK
ICYE-UK is particularly keen to recruit volunteers for projects in Brazil, Costa Rica, Honduras and Nepal. You could work with a social or environmental NGO and these projects range from working with disabled children to helping to establish human rights and protecting natural reserves in Costa Rica. In Brazil, volunteers can work with deaf children and adolescents from poor communities within Porto Allegre.In Costa Rica volunteers have the opportunity to work for environmental projects which help promote conservation, rural development and sustainable tourism.
Projects run for 6 months or 12 months. The cost of a 12 month placement is £3900 and the cost of a 6 month placement is £3300. These costs include return flights, accommodation, food, health insurance, pre-departure and on-arrival training, language lessons, visa support and monthly pocket money. ICYE provides full support with the volunteer's fundraising activities. We are also able to offer one volunteer £1000 towards the cost of their 6 or 12 month placement in Brazil.

"Volunteer Nepal!" program is an emphasis to the promotion of worldwide understanding for cultural differences. CDN Nepal is engaged in service to humanity right on the spot., therefore a special program "Volunteer Nepal!" is introduced to the participants interested in more than pure vacation-stay. This program is designed for those people, who wish to visit Nepal and contribute their time and skills to benefit the community people as well as learn Nepalese culture & customs by living as member of a Nepali host family and doing volunteer work in various fields. International Volunteer
Concordia
Concordia is a charity committed to international volunteering as a means to promoting intercultural understanding and peace.
Our International Volunteer Programme offers volunteers aged 18+ the opportunity to join international teams of volunteers working on short-term projects in over 60 countries in Europe, North America, Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Asia. A selection of projects is available for teenagers aged 16 and 17. Types of international volunteer projects include conservation, restoration, archaeology, construction, arts, children’s play-schemes and teaching.
Projects last for 2-4 weeks with the main season from June to September. Volunteers pay a registration fee of £150 and fund their own travel and insurance.
Board and accommodation is free of charge for projects in Europe, North America, Japan and South Korea. For projects in Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa volunteer pay an extra on arrival fee of approx. £100 that covers food and accommodation, as well as funding the programme in the country.
