CALEDONIAN SCHOOL in Prague, CZ requires full-time ESL teachers.

We are especially interested in teachers with Business English and Cambridge exam preparation experience. The Caledonian School is a certified University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations institution. We send hundreds of its students to take the Cambridge ESOL Examinations every year. Twelve members of our academic staff (teachers, TEFL trainers) are Cambridge ESOL Oral Examiners.

Positions in Prague, Nove Jicin and Mlada Boleslav are available. All staff in locations outside of Prague (Nove Jicin and Mlada Boleslav) receive free shared accommodation. We prefer EU citizens for outside Prague locations.

Apart from English, we also teach a variety of languages, including French, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Swedish and Czech.

Current positions available: Full-time English teacher (Czech and native English speaking applicants) in Mlada Boleslav starting ASAP. Part-time Dutch and Norwegian teacher in Prague starting in July.

In short:

• We offer full time contracts between a minimum 20 and maximum 26 lessons per week.
• A full time teacher can expect to earn from 16,000-20,000 Czech crowns (Kc) (US $1,000-1,250 per month) before tax
• This will enable you to have a modest standard of living, in line with that enjoyed by the average native Czech person
• Many teachers supplement their earnings by taking private students

International Volunteer
Concordia

Concordia is a charity committed to international volunteering as a means to promoting intercultural understanding and peace.

Our International Volunteer Programme offers volunteers aged 18+ the opportunity to join international teams of volunteers working on short-term projects in over 60 countries in Europe, North America, Middle East, Latin America, Africa and Asia. A selection of projects is available for teenagers aged 16 and 17. Types of international volunteer projects include conservation, restoration, archaeology, construction, arts, children’s play-schemes and teaching.

Projects last for 2-4 weeks with the main season from June to September. Volunteers pay a registration fee of £150 and fund their own travel and insurance.

Board and accommodation is free of charge for projects in Europe, North America, Japan and South Korea. For projects in Latin America, Asia, Middle East and Africa volunteer pay an extra on arrival fee of approx. £100 that covers food and accommodation, as well as funding the programme in the country.
