Internship in the Andes of PERU – a project for assisting and providing material, educational and support to children living in situations of extreme poverty and risk

PERU / Sharing Dreams Project

Our organization invites you to participate and develop your professional abilities in a project aimed at providing support, encouragement, educational and emotional assistance to children living at risk.

These children are from migrant families from areas within the Peruvian Andes, and have been affected by political violence, social, economic and cultural marginalisation, and, on the whole, by extreme poverty (poverty map from the Peruvian government). The project is being developed in areas or communities around the Mantaro Valley in the Central Andes of Peru. These areas have a lack of basic services and hygiene, and are populated with dysfunctional families that are subjected to problems of sexism, domestic violence, alcoholism, among others. We intervene directly in the areas and communities, using a holistic approach and undertaking direct social work.

We are a civil organisation that promotes volunteering, operating with a flat structure and working directly with communities. We undertake teamwork and promote the self-development of the communities. Our projects are undertaken on site, without intermediaries. In addition, we offer a real and fun method of cultural exchange.
