We are recruiting for a highly experienced and talented Head Chef to join our dedicated team for our inaugural Summertime Samadhi Festival (Buddhist concept of Bliss) celebrating holistic health, happiness, healing and human transformation. (June-September with possibility of winter season)

This is a very demanding but extremely rewarding and creative role with full responsibility for the catering service of the lodge, preparing daily meals for clients (usually 12) and staff (6). Daily and weekly menus must be tailored to the needs of each group of guests within a set budget.

You must be passionate about gastronomy with a flair for creativity and presentation. You will have a vast range of culinary techniques and have experience with a variety of international cuisines in order to create inventive and inspiring menus which change with the seasons and guests.

Whether a simple family supper, buffet, picnic, canapés party, themed event or formal gastronomic tasting experience the meals produced must be of the very highest international gourmet standard in content and presentation.

You will have a passion for the outdoors, the Alps, healthy living and respect a holistic, conscious way of life – in keeping with Hidden Dragon’s brand values. The job is suited to someone who is passionate about wellness and nutrition and providing guests with healthy, nutritious and delicious food to enhance their wellbeing, health and happiness.

Working closely with our Spa Therapists and Naturopaths, your menus may be designed to resolve specific health concerns of our guests. Experience with allergies and food intolerances would be useful. An interest in raw, vegan, dairy/gluten/sugar free cooking, Ayurveda, superfoods, juicing, detox would be a plus.

Role is mixed and fun where every day can be different and will include: Meal and Drink Service (silver service), F&B Budgeting and Shopping, Health and Hygiene Maintenance, Hosting and Entertainment, Event Planning (eg weddings, birthday parties), Housekeeping, Child Care (cooking and playing with kids and hosting special activities – treasure hunts, baking cookies etc).

Requirements
You will have previous chef experience at 2AA+ Rosette or Michelin establishments (and in luxury hotels, private estates or yachts) and be proficient with front of house and customer service skills.

You have a strong work ethic, are optimistic at all times, and have a can-do team attitude.

Applicants must be EU nationals or in possession of a valid Swiss Work Permit. Driving license would be ideal
