Experiential Education Volunteer Internship

CHINA / Karstaway

The program starts with a month of training in Yangshuo, China. During this time you will be staying in the Karstaway House with the other interns and you will all have Chinese class each weekday morning and training in experiential education leadership skills in the afternoon. This includes learning basic rock climbing, caving and other adventure activities.

For the second month you will be assigned to a kids holiday camp, either a ski camp, a surf camp or a multi activity adventure camp. Your role will include assisting on activities, mentoring the children as they work towards their skill badges, teaching the children about environmental protection and generally playing and having fun with the kids.

The program is unpaid but everything is covered as soon as they land in China., including accommodation, meals, activities and transport to internship locations. (We cannot cover the flights to China or visa costs)

We are happy to accept applications from anyone over 18 as long as they are outgoing, love a challenge and great with kids.

We are particularly keen in hearing from people with creative skills, or experience working with children.

Interns are required to be in China from January 1st until February 28th 2018.

We require criminal background checks and references from all of our interns.
