As a Divemaster Trainee working in a busy dive base, your main responsibilities are guiding snorkel trips for our guests, manning the dive centre, filling tanks, and general cleaning and maintenance. Duties for the turtle hatchery include relocating nests, nightly checks of the hatchery, providing tours of the project to our guests). This is an awesome opportunity to have whilst training as a Divemaster while taking part in other projects (reef cleans, coral restoration etc.)

The resort is situated on a small island off the East coast of Malaysia, close to Singapore. The season runs from February through to December. The living is fairly basic (cold showers, shared accommodation.). Food is local style with a small kitchen area if you’d like to cook for yourself.

The package we offer includes –

This role requires a great deal of flexibility due to its diverse nature. We go with the tide. The ideal candidate is a sociable, hardworking, proactive individual with a huge passion for conservation. Some of the work takes place at night so must be able to deal with shift work! The work’s not glamorous but extremely rewarding. If you have extra skills you feel you could bring – permaculture, marketing, photography/videography etc. then let us know.

To apply send your CV to Sophie at conservation@hi-tidedivers.com with a photo and small bio about yourself. Please also tell me your availability for the year.
