Would you like to help establish a Dairy Goat breeding programme in Rwanda?

Rwanda Aid is looking for a volunteer:
• Position would be 6 months to 1 year
• To work with Rwandan team, local government officers and farmers
• To provide training in Dairy Goat husbandry
• To co-ordinate building of goat pens
• To oversee transportation and distribution of Dairy Goats
• To provide follow-up and monitoring
• To facilitate careful recording
• To help appoint and train a Rwandan Dairy Goat Officer

Rwanda Aid would:
• cover travel costs to and from SW Rwanda
• provide full board and lodging
• provide an allowance
• provide insurance cover

The volunteer would need to be:
• Fluent in English – written and spoken
• Familiar with African smallholder farming
• Experienced with livestock (pref but not necessarily goats)
• Option to spend a month or two at a dairy goat farm in the UK to gain experience in goat breeding.
• Good team working and diplomacy skills
