We are looking for enthusiastic, hardworking people to volunteer at our project in return for food and accommodation.
We run a guest lodge with 16 chalets, bar, restaurant, swimming pools, horses, kids petting farm and gold driving range. We are based at the foot of the Drakensburg Mountains in Badplaas, South Africa.
Our work in the lodge allows us to fund our wildlife rescue and rehabilitation work. We take in injured and orphaned wild animals and also unwanted exotic pets. We also help out local communities with ‘problem’ animals, offering them an alternative solution to killing.
We need volunteers to help out with all aspects of the project. Work may include: working with the animals, hand raising baby animals, cleaning cages, feeding, working with the horses, building, painting, fixing, gardening, working with guests in the lodge, working in the bar and restaurant.

Duties will include:
Clearing breakfast, loading dish washer, and cleaning breakfast room
Cleaning bedrooms and the adjoining flat
Making beds and general housekeeping duties
Laundry, and some ironing
Helping with the garden, such as mowing the lawn, weeding, watering etc
This role will suit a friendly person who wishes to spend their summer enjoying this beautiful region of Austria. It is a role for those with a more mature outlook who enjoy walking, swimming and cycling – not for those who enjoy the night life!
The ideal person would be experienced with general housekeeping duties, be able to work without supervision and have plenty of initiative. The hours are variable with early starts and finishing times between 11am and 4 pm depending on business. It is a great way to spend the summer is this beautiful region of Austria
The position comes with a large private en-suite room, with refrigerator and Wi Fi access. Some meals will be provided. The role of Housekeeper is offered on a freelance paid basis for the summer season. The successful applicant must be available for the entire season – Mid April to Mid September.
Getting to us is easy with direct flights from Stansted to Klagenfurt. Transfer from the airport to the B&B will be arranged for you
