Cafe Manager Wanted in the Falkland Islands

The Charity CESSAC is seeking to recruit a Manager to run its community café on the British military base (the Mount Pleasant Complex) in the Falkland Islands.

This is an ideal opportunity to relish the remoteness and experience a very different way of life for up to 12 months (6 months minimum)

The Manager role is to manage the café successfully, ensuring customers’ expectations of food, beverage, product availability and customer service are met and the unit operates to its full potential.

The Café manager is responsible for all the key administrative tasks that must be completed to comply with the charity’s various policies and procedures.

A weekly car journey will be required to Stanley the capital to collect supplies, therefore, a competent driver is essential.

The successful applicant must be self-sufficient, confident and be comfortable working and living in an isolated location.

Hours will be 40 hours worked over 5 days, but flexibility is an essential element to this role.
